What size range do our modern cloth diapers fit?
Our pocket diapers are estimated to fit most babies between 7 and 60 pounds. Featuring a generous fit and 3 by 5 rise snap settings, our diapers are made to grow and adapt with your baby.
Our cover diapers have a size range of 8-40lbs.
How to prep new cloth diapers
Our modern cloth diaper shells need only be washed once before wear.
Kinder cloth diaper natural fiber diaper inserts may be washed up to three times before use to improve absorbency. However, this is not necessary. Diapers will continue to become more absorbent after several washes and wears.
How to wash cloth diapers
Washing cloth diapers can be really simple!
This simple flow can be used to build most any cloth diaper wash routine.
1. Remove solids into the toilet. This can done with a diaper sprayer toilet attachment, by physically shaking the diaper or by dunking the diaper in the toilet and "swishing" it around to remove the solids. 2. Store dirty diapers in a pail or bag until wash day. 3. Perform a prewash in your machine. We like to run my prewash with line 1 of Tide powder detergent and a normal, heavy cycle with warm water. 4. Perform a main wash. We tend to run a heavy duty cycle with an extra rinse. For this cycle we will add line 1 of tide, sometimes line 2 if it's a particularly large load.
Athletic wicking jersey is lightweight and breathable on baby's skin. Similar to that of an athletic short, AWJ provides good air flow and wicks moisture away from baby's skin.
Lint and hair do not stick to AWJ like many other reusable diaper lining textiles.

I love these! I stack 2 greens for over night and a green and a yellow for long naps. You can also snap the green and yellow together and then snap that to the diaper to make it stay in place!

These inserts seem great. We can't wait to try them out!
Brittany D.5/5Verified
I love these inserts! Great for daytime and nighttime! I think I prefer these ones over the yellow ones because they’re a little thicker so they don’t get bunched up inside of a cover!
Jill N.5/5Verified
This is amazing, seriously. My newborn pees so much so im thankful i didn’t buy the newborn inserts because using these, the diapers don't leak at all. It’s also not hard to have him fit into it as I’ve been using till he reached 8lbs.
Nuri A.5/5Verified
I ADORE these patterns! I am new to Kinder, so I didnt know the inside of their cover diapers were plastic feeling and not more of a cloth like the ones I have from most other companies, I am hoping it doesnt cause irritation (I'm sure it's fine, I haven't heard any complaints. Richard Scarry was a huge part of my childhood and I love that I can now smile every time I see my sweet little baby!

Perfect for my toddler’s nighttime routine

We absolutely LOVE kinder diapers. We have tried Alva, Nora’s, stouthouse, texas tushie, and so many other brands.. None compare to the quality of Kinder. Absolutely NONE. In disposables, our sons would have constant blow outs, and leaks. Kinder pockets stuffed with one yellow and one green insert lets my baby sleep through his nap and wake up dry and smiling! Kinder makes up over 80% of our stash, and even my husband said next time new prints drop we are ordering more. The quality is amazing, and kinder is there to help with any questions or learning curves along the way. It feels like a little family honestly. So not only is kinder a good brand quality wise, its a good brand customer service wise. I will scream it from the rooftops, this brand is where its at.

Great inserts, I love that they can be snapped together and snapped inside the pocket!
Mckenzi D.5/5Verified
We love the absorbency and easy to
Fit insert I took one start away because this happened to one of our inserts a little over a month of use and honestly have no idea how but the other 29 are holding up fine. I reached out to customer service and waiting to hear back

Color coding make stuffing so easy. Super absorbent. Nice quality. Will be buying more

I bought every insert to test them out. The yellow and green are my favorites. In the video you can see how they look after multiple washes. The yellow is the most flexible and trim. The green is a bit more substantial but still flexible. For me, the white isnt enough, the blue is too stiff, the book fold too bulky and the zorb shrunk and doesn’t lay flat.
Sarah F.5/5Verified
We love the yellow inserts for daytime! They are superior to any other brand. They are very absorbent without being too bulky! They wash up great with minimal shrinkage and zero baconing. I love how they color coordinate the inserts to the level of absorbency. My baby is 7 months old and is just now starting to saturate through them so it’s time to start snapping two together. I love that they can do that!
Francesca F.5/5Verified
Really versatile insert!
perfect for nighttime for younger babies, especially paired with a white insert or daytime use for a toddler
10/10 recommend

Absolutely love this brand and the prints they make! The overnight pad inserts are a lifesaver
Amber S.5/5Verified
Bought these in advance of my newborn getting larger and having bigger wet diapers. Will be using them eventually, but excited about the quality so far!
Jordan Danielle C.5/5Verified
I am a new parent and when I was registering for baby items my mother asked if I would cloth diaper. I had never considered it, but after doing some research I figured it couldn't hurt to try. It would save my family money, be better for the environment, be better for my baby, and it's like another cute accessory! I got some diapers second hand but my LO is a heavy wetter. I found Kinder through Reddit and YouTube and was hopeful that the 4 layer Bamboo would be enough than the 2 microfiber inserts I was using. Though one is not enough, 😮💨, I love the quality and the thin profile these give my diapers. I feel bad when my LO has too fluffy of a butt at such a young age (2 months). I will be purchasing the green 6 layer hemp in the hopes that it will work for daytime and adding the yellow as a booster if needed.

Our most loved Kinder insert!
It’s so versatile, you can use it as is for a itty bitty newborn, infant or use it as a booster for nighttime diapers or a toddler.
Lara-aileen D.5/5
This insert is by far the best we have used (honestly all kinder inserts) when properly cared for and dried correctly and completely they will last years and years. All our Yellows were bought in the first 6mo of our sons life and we have never had ANY issues ever with mold of any kind.
Essence J.5/5
I love the green inserts for my heavy wetter! Been using for overnights since about 2 months old and they work wonders.
Kianna C.5/5
The quality of the inserts is a must have!
It’s thick and great for overnight!
Camisha D.5/5Verified
Not happy with the inserts and wipes, gets moldy and gross in no time
Sneha D.1/5
I was very excited to start using the Kinder bamboo inserts and the wipes but a few weeks in and at least 3-4 of them started showing signs of mold, I follow the recommended wash routine and wash the diapers every other day. I tried so many different methods to take the mold off but had to throw away the moldy inserts and wipes, now a couple of weeks later there are two more with mold. I really wanted to love these but I am having mold issues only with this brand
Sneha D.1/5
Starting my cloth diaper journey! So excited I already love these diapers and inserts! The material is amazing! You can tell so much thought was put into the design of making these cloth diapers! Bonus love the color options so many options to choose from!!!
Emily D.5/5
Perfect for daytime as a single and I now double up my yellows for nighttime at 8 months. My husband constantly raves how “double yellow gets the job done!” I’m sure we will eventually go to a yellow and green. If you are just starting to build your stash and you have a newborn yellow was what we started with and it worked well for us.
Meghan M.5/5Verified
Love these green inserts! We were having leaks and I tried many other options but these work by far the best to not get leaks and not get bulk (which caused gaps, which caused leaks…) I used various brands of pockets and they fit into the many other brands I use too!
Lauren T.5/5Verified
Love these! No leaks, can snap in place inside the diapers and be layered together with eachother and with other types of inserts
Sarah P.5/5Verified
So far I love them! 1 green has been enough during the day, and night i pair the green and yellow on top. Very happy with how fast shipping was. Also love the customer service.! Helped me ASAP when I accidentally put the wrong adress. I will definitely be buying from here again!
Rebecca R.5/5Verified
LOVE these inserts! How genius to put a button on them to make stacking them so much easier! They won’t shift apart while in use in the diaper. These inserts have worked so well for daytime use! No leaks at all!
Crystal S.5/5Verified
First time doing cloth diapers and came across Kinder brand on tik tok. We're going to cloth diaper our 4th baby due in July and currently cloth diapering our almost 2 year old. I already have my cart full for another order! I love the material and softness of the inserts. The inserts are well made and great quality! Highly recommend this brand if youre new into cloth diapers like myself!
Miriah E.5/5Verified
These are my absolute favorite inserts. I have swapped all other brands out for these. My kiddo is 16 months old and we’re still able to use these everyday with no extra added absorbency. These are also the easiest to fold and the least bulky!
Katherine H.5/5Verified
Using these for my toddler at night and she hasn’t had any leaks. I’m so happy I won’t have to buy nighttime diapers anymore.
Also potty training so when we are out and about I plan to put a cloth diaper over her panties incase she has any accidents.
I’m pregnant with my second and I plan to buy more so I can use them on her in the newborn stage!
Nicole J.5/5Verified
Great quality. Very flexible and love that you can layer them.
Brittany M.5/5Verified
I love the 6 layer inserts! They are a little bit more bulky but I’m already able to use them with my 3 month old (17lbs so he is bigger). The 4 layer yellow inserts still work fine for us but these are better for overnight cause they keep him dryer. At first I was using these 6 layer at night and 4 layer during the day but now I typically just use these 6 layer unless I don’t have a clean one available.
Meghan M.5/5Verified
Love these inserts! My toddler is a heavy wetter so we bought some Greener Odyssey inserts which worked great but they were so thick and baconed which was annoying. We invested in swapping to all of these inserts and have loved how soft, flexible, and absorbent they are! We’ve only used the green ones since my daughter is a heavy wetter but they’re amazing!
Bryce K.5/5Verified
I love the green inserts! They’re only slightly thicker than a yellow, and they were perfect for when my LO got older and started wetting through her normal single yellow. We also love them paired with a bookfold for overnight!
Kellie G.5/5
I'm still learning cloth diapering. I honestly had given up because my daughter was peeing through the ones I got on amezon.
I looked up a few videos and seen kinder and thought this will be my last try before I give up. I loved them I love the designs, I live the inserts 10/10. I'm still trying to figure out the over night diapering part but during the day it's been so much better! She was being through every diaper till I got these!! I'm very happy with them I would definitely buy again!
Alexyss E.5/5Verified
Fits perfectly in the kinder pocket on the smallest setting for my 7lb one month old! Folded it down in the front but stayed put and the perfect amount of absorbency.
Sarah C.5/5Verified
Kinder inserts are the best! Love how you can snap them together to customize absorbency.
