Cloth diaper inserts will become more absorbent over time, after multiple washes.
When you receive your inserts, be sure to wash at least one time before use. Note: Inserts need to be washed multiple times in order to reach maximum absorbency. While some sources may recommend "prepping" cloth diaper inserts by completing multiple washes before first use, we at Kinder recommend at least one wash.
Some shrinkage is normal and to be expected for inserts crafted from natural fibers like bamboo, hemp and cotton.
Benefits of Choosing Bamboo for your Cloth Diaper Absorbency

Compared to other textiles?
Bamboo terry is a popular material for cloth diaper inserts, but how does it compare to other materials in terms of absorbency?
Each material has its unique strengths when it comes to absorbency. Hemp is considered to be the most absorbent, followed by bamboo and cotton.
