What size range do our modern cloth diapers fit?
Our pocket diapers are estimated to fit most babies between 7 and 60 pounds. Featuring a generous fit and 3 by 5 rise snap settings, our diapers are made to grow and adapt with your baby.
Our cover diapers have a size range of 8-40lbs.
How to prep new cloth diapers
Our modern cloth diaper shells need only be washed once before wear.
Kinder cloth diaper natural fiber diaper inserts may be washed up to three times before use to improve absorbency. However, this is not necessary. Diapers will continue to become more absorbent after several washes and wears.
How to wash cloth diapers
Washing cloth diapers can be really simple!
This simple flow can be used to build most any cloth diaper wash routine.
1. Remove solids into the toilet. This can done with a diaper sprayer toilet attachment, by physically shaking the diaper or by dunking the diaper in the toilet and "swishing" it around to remove the solids. 2. Store dirty diapers in a pail or bag until wash day. 3. Perform a prewash in your machine. We like to run my prewash with line 1 of Tide powder detergent and a normal, heavy cycle with warm water. 4. Perform a main wash. We tend to run a heavy duty cycle with an extra rinse. For this cycle we will add line 1 of tide, sometimes line 2 if it's a particularly large load.
Athletic wicking jersey is lightweight and breathable on baby's skin. Similar to that of an athletic short, AWJ provides good air flow and wicks moisture away from baby's skin.
Lint and hair do not stick to AWJ like many other reusable diaper lining textiles.

Customer Reviews
My husband and I travel a lot and really wanted to prioritize a good quality travel changing mat that we could trust. We love the print, the quality feels great, the size surprised me (bigger than I thought, which was a huge bonus), and the thickness looks like it will provide plenty of safe cushion for our baby. I'm so glad I didn't settle for a cheaper option on Amazon or elsewhere. This meets all of my expectations and has alleviated any concerns I had. Thank you, Kinder!
I love this change mat! It has saved us a few times from messy diapers and wet surfaces. It is also a great size, my daughter is almost 12 months and she still fits nicely on it. While I may not always have a diaper station, at least I know that this is plush enough if I have to changer her on an inconvenient surface. I will be buying all my pregnant friends one, even if they don't cloth diaper.
These are our favorite change mats! We’ve used these since our almost 2 year old was a newborn. It’s easily wipeable and it still fits his whole body on there, so he’s never exposed to wherever he is laying for his changes. This is the perfect gift for any mom, even those who are not cloth diapering!
Absolutely love all the products I’ve purchased so far! The changing mat, the wet bags, the absorbency, pocket diapers, storage pods are all amazing. I had to sell all my other brands of cloth diapers because we have quickly become a kinder cloth only family! I’m so obsessed with this brand and all their products. The changing mat is a game changer! We use it all the time!
I try to get a changing mat with just about every order I make so I always have a clean one in hand for at home and on the go. This one is probably my favorite print so far! So many beautiful details! I feel like I find something new every time!
I love how large it is and the two sides are great. It also works well to cover the car seat (without kiddo in it of course) to keep it cooler when we're out.
Our diaper stash is 95% kinder and I was so excited to finally try the changing mat!
Our new baby is a happy spitter and spits up EVERY diaper change. The bamboo side absorbs fast and helps keeps it out of her hair/ saves me some cleaning 🎉
Just ordered 2 more so we fresh ones ready when the current one gets to messy
Love this changing pad - it's soft, easy to wipe - and SO MUCH BIGGER than the other changing pads I have! Way more usable. I much prefer this design than the folding stiff ones that come with diaper bags.
Absolutely love this! Thick material, double sided, cloth diapers slide easily on it for diaper changes, and it’s so easy to clean and roll up to take with you anywhere.
Love the change mats for travel!!! We used them to EASILY change the baby on an airplane when we went to San Diego! GAMECHANGER!!!! Plus it helps my “first time mom” freakouts when there’s no clean place to change.
LOCE these changing mats!!! We have 2 at home and 1 in the diaper bag. Since starting tummy time we’ve been also using them at church as a safe play/drool space! 😍😍
I LOVE these change mats! I've bought about 10 so far because I buy them for everyone I know having a baby. I love that the inside of the mat is absorbent so when my baby pees it doesn’t just slide right off. The back is wipeable if you need to disinfect it after using it, too! The adorable prints are an added bonus!
Buy these you will not regret it! I seriously love these! I cannot recommend them enough. They are my go to baby shower gift now. They are so versatile! Make any surface a changing table. Public bathroom with no or gross change table? No problem with these. We use them to change diapers, drool and spit up catcher for tummy time or if he’s on our bed. They also work great to sleep on for breastfeeding mamas. They are a life saver for little boys open air accident.
I LOVE this changing mat! It’s so soft and comfortable and when my little man pees (which he does a lot) it just disappears and it’s not even a big deal anymore!! Then I just throw it in the washer! And the gummy bear pattern is my favorite! I already ordered 3 more, 2 for my friends and another one for me!
This is my second order and I am absolutely in love!!!! The quality is STELLAR!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We’ve just started our cloth diapering journey and I think I’m more excited than my baby 😂 the prints are adorable! I got the changing mat and LOVE the quality and how soft it is! Thank you tiktok for introducing me to the KinderClothLife!
We’ve been using these mats since we brought our baby home. They have been essential for unpredictable diaper changes. Most recently they were a bed saver when our toddler had a stomach virus. We used them under him to catch a projectile vomit that would have ended up all over our bed. These mats are definitely a must have baby essential.
I’m in love with this mat. We are a military family so we travel a lot. This Mat makes changing diapers in the vehicle a lot easier. I don’t post my little ones pictures or I would add them to it. I will definitely be recommending kinder to other moms!
We love our diaper changing mat! My daughter used to scream during diaper changes because her changing pad was cold and now it barely bothers her! We’ve used this on the go and it has caught all our diaper changes mishaps and her spit up and leaves for an easy clean! We love that is machine washable for those bigger messes!
This thing has SAVED ME too many times! My girl loves to have poo blowouts because she only poops like once a week and I do not like her touching the changing tables or grass or picnic tables or anywhere else when we’re out and about. It’s big, absorbent, and fits perfectly in a pod with everything else you need. I’m getting another ASAP for when the one I have is washing. Didn’t even mention how cute it is!
I love this changing mat! The size, quality and look are perfect. For two years I used cheap pampers ones that leaked when peed on and was so small. This is big enough to fit my toddler comfortably! I don’t have to worry about my toddler or baby touching any nasty surface while being changed. Plan on buying another to have one at home and one for the diaper bag. 100% going to recommend these to all my pregnant friends and family!
Favorite changing pad. We change our newborn wherever we are and don’t have a changing table. This doesn’t stick to our baby’s back like other portable changing pads. It’s also easily portable to just grab wherever baby goes. Planning on getting another for the car and one for when this is in the wash.
Purchased for my mom who watches her grandchildren and desperately needed a changing mat, she’s in love and will be purchasing another for when this one gets dirty!
Love these change mats so much! We have 3 pregnant mommas within my company, we threw them all a “butt” themed baby shower. Think diapers, wipes, diapers paste. I thought, nothing better than a washable, cute, changing pad! I’ll be buying them for every momma to be!
Very happy with this purchase. So far, everything I buy from kinder, I have loved. I also have my eye on a play mat. Just wish there were more prints available for the change mats!
