Salmen Cloth Project
Salem Cloth Project is a 501(c)3 Cloth Diaper Bank. Families or caregivers in Marion or Polk County, Oregon are eligible to receive a free cloth diaper kit for every child in diapers, in their care. Their goal is to provide a financially and environmentally sustainable diapering option for families.
The Cloth Option
The mission of The Cloth Option is to advocate for and provide access to cloth diapers and other reusable hygiene products to reduce diaper need and protect our environment for future generations.
Western Pennsylvania Diaper Bank
As part of the National Diaper Bank Network, the Diaper Bank adopted the partner distribution model, similar to a food bank model, joining forces with social service agencies, schools, libraries and churches to reach a diverse population of families who are experiencing diaper need.

How it Works
- Make a new or gently used cloth diaper donation to a 501-C3
- Send an email to help@kinderdiapers.com with the subject line "Pay it Forward - Receipt"
- In the body of the email, include your name, the name of the organization you donated to, as well as a receipt for any expenses incurred from your donation.
- Receive a shop credit to spend at KinderDiapers.com.
What counts as an expense? Shipping supplies and postage fees. Many of our partner organizations will ask that the giver covers the cost of shipping.
Can I Donate Locally?
Yes! We encourage families to donate within their local communities.
However, the goal of the Pay it Forward program at Kinder is to offset the cost of donating gently used diapers for families in hopes to encourage more families to donate items they are no longer using.
At this time, the program only reimburses for shipping expenses incurred from sending new or pre-loved diapers to 501-C3s, like the Cloth Option.
Can I Donate Disposable Diapers?
We recommend contacting the 501-C3 that you are interested in to see if they accept open, unused disposable diaper donations.

How To Determine if A Diaper Should Be Donated
Follow these tips when choosing whether to donate or discard a used cloth diaper.
- Is the item in good working condition, free of tears, rips, snags, odors or staining?
- Would you pay money for this item if found while shopping second hand?
If you answered no to either of the above questions, it's best to discard the item rather than donating it.
