Why We Decided to Redesign Our Diaper Covers
When we first launched our covers, we had one goal in mind: offering a budget friendly diapering option to Kinder families. We chose a stock diaper cover system from our manufacturer and ran with it. And it was fine, but over time, it became clear that we need to revisit the design of our diaper cover system.
So what has changed?

A Fully Wipeable Interior: The biggest benefit to using a diaper cover system is the ability to wipe down and reuse the cover across multiple diaper changes. We know how important this feature is, so we removed all of the moisture wicking opportunities from this new Hybrid Diaper Cover. No fabric edge binding, no sneaky spots that trap moisture — just a smooth, fully-wipeable waterproof shell you can easily clean and reuse right away. That means less laundry, less money spent on diapers and faster diaper changes.

The Same Fit You Already Know and Love: As we thought about features we wanted to include in this new diaper cover design, a larger fit was a must. Our original diaper cover has a fit range of about 8-40lbs—smaller than our beloved Essentials Pocket Diaper. We knew our new covers needed to fit the same range as our pockets, because when something works, you stick with it! The new Hybrid Cover hugs your baby in all the right places and offers that same great range of fit, from 7 to 60 pounds.

We’ve chosen to redesign our diaper covers now, as we prepare to introduce our brand new, stretchy bamboo viscose cotton pre-flat diaper.
